Growing up isn’t easy. As well as the unexpected events that can happen such as bereavement and family breakdowns, the pressure to succeed, to change the way you look and even the pressure of relationships can make life challenging for young people.
People react in different ways from the pressure that they feel. Some bottle it up inside and get stressed and anxious, harm themselves, have problems around eating and body image, get depressed or have suicidal thoughts or take drugs and drink too much. But it isn’t always easy to talk to friends about how you feel. You don’t want them to judge you or think that you are different.
MTVi in partnership with Big White Wall has set up a safe support network where you can share whatever is on your mind openly, honestly and anonymously. You can express how you feel in your own words as well as use images and pictures to create a brick and post it on The Wall. You can talk to other people who are in a similar situation in forums or by making new friends and messaging them privately. And there are places on the site where you can find other useful information. Share what you feel, visit mtv.bigwhitewall.com
